I just read an edited version on “Understandably”. It is beautifully written and goosebump-raising. I believe I would have done as you did. Sometimes there are no answers and sometimes no answer is it’s own decision. Thank you for writing what you did.

I’ve never been a caregiver per se, but as a breadwinner and provider for my own family, I find your question difficult to answer.

I like to think that I would do whatever it takes in such a situation, but can we ever KNOW that until the time comes? I too am an organ donor but that is an “after death” commitment that has no consequences for my life. As a follower of Christ I have to ask myself WWJD (what would Jesus do)? Of course He would reach out and touch someone and they would be healed. I might be able, through the power of His Holy Spirit in me, to do the same thing... but whatever the case, He gave His LIFE for me. Can I,, should I do any less? Jesus said “greater love has no man than he lay down his life for another.

May it be so, Lord, may it be so!
